The 7th graders finished their skits this week, acting out a scene from a restaurant. They had to write their own scripts, familiarize themselve with lines, dress up, and bring in props. This was quite a learning experience for all. What a fantastic life skill we learned in ordering food in a restaurant. We really strengthened our speaking skills. The presentations were extremely creative and entertaining. Thank you parents for your support and for bringing in all the food and props!
For a maximum of 5 additional points, you may complete textbook p. 105 Activity 12 “Y tu?” in complete sentences. All questions must be answered for any point consideration. Use what you know about time, tener + que + infinitives, days of the week, classes etc. Gracias!

Many thanks to all the parents and TAC for an incredible “Teacher Appreciation Week!” I am amazed at the generosity you have all shown. I continue to be so grateful for all the nice and thoughtful things you guys do for us teachers throughout the year!
Blessings,
Mrs. Battista
Just a few friendly reminders:
*You are the one that determines your conduct grade, not the teacher. Some students have been having a difficult time lately controlling themselves in class. Here is what NOT to do: shout out, talk out of turn, get out of your seat when unnecessary, violate dress code, give me attitude.
*It seems that it is a rare occurance to have all students in class on any given day. Whatever the reason, if you miss any part of my class time, it is completely up to you to find out missed work and make it up. By Middle School, you can be more self-reliant!
Thank you for your cooperation in making the last part of the school year a successful one!
Final exams for 8th graders will take place Tuesday, May 22. 6th Graders will take their final on Monday, June 4. 7th Graders will take theirs Tuesday, June 5. Just a heads up! I will have review sheets passed out to students in a few weeks. The exams will mostly cover what has been taught in Semester 2, but the important grammatical concepts from the entire year will carry over as well. You can always check under “Study Page” for your grade to see a list of topics we have covered.

Many of our 8th graders are taking Honors Spanish, with a few even jumping to Spanish 2 next year! Regardless of what level you will be taking, this is a handout of some important topics to review before August! If you do not use your Spanish from May to August, you will lose valuable information. I recommend keeping all handouts and the workbook for extra practice as well! I know you will be well prepared. Even if you are taking a new foreign language, these ideas and concepts do carry over! You could still get a headstart on French, German, Latin, etc.
